About Us

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consulting Group (O&GCG) has five female specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists; Dr Jean Wong, Dr Leah Xu, Dr Natalia Khomko, Dr Perri Dyson and Dr Robin Thurman.

We also offer the services of a specialist gynaecologists:  Dr Harvinder Kaur (Specialist Gynaecologist, Laparoscopic Surgeon).

A Wide Range of Services

Choose your own Obstetrician

Our group philosophy supports your choice of primary obstetrician and ensures that you are familiar with our other doctors (whom we endevour you will meet throughout your pregnancy) who may cover shifts overnight or on the weekend*.

Personalised 'Safe Care' - 24 Hours a Day

Our obstetricians work independently but support each other with a shared after-hours, on-call roster. This means personalised 'safe care' for you: no matter what time of day or night, your doctor will be well-rested and alert to your needs.

* Very occasionally at times of annual or maternity leave, your doctor may be a locum obstetrician who is not a participating member of O&GCG. However, we will inform you of the possibility of this in advance and will endeavour to introduce you to your locum doctor beforehand.

Our Team

Emma, Georgia and Tahnee are our friendly secretaries who are here to help you along the way.  They not only make appointments and answer the phone but they go to great lengths to make sure that your care is seamless.  They love meeting and cuddling all the new babies at your postnatal appointments.

Carolyn is our Practice Manager at O&GCG. Joining the team in late 2016 Carolyn has over 20 years of experience working in the health sector.  Carolyn ensures the smooth running of the practice and is constantly looking at finding ways to improve the practice.  Carolyn is an active member of the Australian Association of Practice Managers (AAPM) and Practice Managers Australia (PMA).

Our Midwives

Our obstetric midwives, Kaye and Lorraine, have many years of experience dealing with all areas of pregnancy, delivery and after care and also work at the birth suites in Frances Perry House. They can provide you with advice and support during your pregnancy and can be contacted on weekdays between 9am-5pm.

Feedback

We have created a short survey for patients to be able to submit their feedback in regards to our services. We strive to provide great customer service at all times. We would greatly appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete the survey.

Our Associations

Our management protocols are based on those prescribed by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), and are consistent with those of the Royal College of O&G (UK) and The Melbourne Royal Women's Hospital. We comply with all registration requirements of the RANZCOG, one of which is medical indemnity (insurance) which contributes to the fees attached to our service.

We thank you for supporting our practice and look forward to meeting you.

Location

The practice is located at Level 3, Suite 319, 55 Flemington Road, opposite the Royal Women's Hospital. A map, parking and transport instructions are available.
