About Us
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consulting Group (O&GCG) has four specialist female obstetricians and gynaecologists; Dr Anna Rogers, Dr Jean Wong, Dr Leah Xu and Dr Natalia Khomko. They are graduates of Melbourne University and Monash University and trained at the Royal Melbourne and the Royal Women's Hospitals, as well as various other hospitals in Australia and abroad.
A Wide Range of Services
Each doctor has varied yet complementary interest areas, offering you a broad range of clinical expertise. All four also hold active public appointments at the Royal Women's Hospital which enables them to keep abreast of the latest medical advances and have access to other specialists, should the need arise.
Choose your own Obstetrician
Our group philosophy supports your choice of primary obstetrician and ensures that you are familiar with our three other doctors (whom you will have met during your pregnancy) who may cover shifts overnight or on the weekend*.
Personalised 'Safe Care' - 24 Hours a Day
Our obstetricians work independently but support each other with a shared after-hours, on-call roster. This means personalised 'safe care' for you: no matter what time of day or night, your doctor will be well-rested and alert to your needs, and most importantly, you will always know the doctor delivering your baby.
Our Staff
Our receptionists Emma and Laura will welcome you to the practice. Among many tasks, they manage appointments, surgery bookings, estimates for patients, and will assist you with any enquiries. Lauren MacGregor is our Practice Manager and ensures the smooth running of the practice. She works at constantly improving all aspects of our service to patients and the doctors.
Our Midwives
Our obstetric midwives, Kaye and Lorraine, have many years of experience dealing with all areas of pregnancy, delivery and after care and also work at the birth suites in Frances Perry House. They can provide you with advice and support during your pregnancy and can be contacted during weekdays (except Tuesdays) 9am-5pm.
Our Associations
Our management protocols are based on those prescribed by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), and are consistent with those of the Royal College of O&G (UK) and The Melbourne Royal Women's Hospital. We comply with all registration requirements of the RANZCOG, one of which is medical indemnity (insurance) which contributes to the fees attached to our service.
We thank you for supporting our practice and look forward to seeing you.
* Very occasionally at times of annual or maternity leave, your doctor may be a locum obstetrician who is not a participating member of O&GCG. However, we will inform you of the possibility of this in advance and will endeavour to introduce you to your locum doctor beforehand.
Location
The practice is located at Level 3, Suite 319, 55 Flemington Road, opposite the Women's Hospital. A map, parking and transport instructions are available.
