New consultations can take up to 1 hour. If you are pregnant it is very important that you book with us as soon as possible to ensure your place at Frances Perry House Private Hospital.

To help provide us with information before your first appointment you may download our patient registration form (you may need to right click and specify where to save it), print it and bring the completed form when you visit the practice.

We consult between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday – Friday.  We do not consult in the evenings or on weekends.  To assist in avoiding a delay of your appointment, please make sure you report to reception on arrival and on completion of your appointment.

Our secretaries will usually schedule the appointments for the remainder of pregnancy at your first visit.

Our doctors make every effort to see you at your scheduled appointment time, however appointments may be delayed or rescheduled if the doctor needs to attend to another patient in hospital, or perform a delivery.  Our staff will attempt to notify you of appointment delays or changes where possible.  We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, and ask you to allow sufficient time to accommodate any unexpected delays.

Midwives Kaye and Lorraine both have many years of experience dealing with all areas of pregnancy, delivery and postnatal care.  They also work at the birth suites in Frances Perry House.  Kaye and Lorraine will be able to see you for your antenatal visits if your doctor is running late or called away for a delivery. They can provide you with results, advice and support during your pregnancy, and are available each weekday from 9am-5pm.

Fees

We will provide you with a schedule of fees prior to your first consultation.  We will also ask your consent to proceed with your booking in light of our fee structure and we can process your Medicare claims online at time of payment. You may also choose to see us if you are a self-funding patient.

Medicare Safety Net

Did you know that individuals are automatically registered for the Medicare Safety Net? If you want to register for the Safety Net as a couple or family you will need to contact Medicare. Being registered as a couple or family means that if your spouse or children also have out of pocket medical expenses then these will contribute to the one safety net. Please visit www.medicareaustralia.gov.au for more information.
